Williamson County TN Real Estate

Williamson County is a wonderfully diverse place to live. The real estate marketplace matches that diversity. Brentwood was the first of the Williamson County communities to experience the kind of explosive growth we have seen throughout the County. As Nashville grew to it's borders, upscale buyers began to look to the peaceful countryside just across Old Hickory Blvd in Williamson County. The community of Brentwood sets on Franklin Road, once the major path from Nashville to the Williamson County seat in Franklin. This location made it a natural draw to home owners seeking more room both in their homes and their lots. As homeowners came so did businesses. Brentwood is now a thriving business and residential area. Growth in Brentwood continues today as some of the most expensive luxury homes are being built in the hillsides of the Brentwood communities.

Franklin is the Williamson County seat of government and, as such, has always seen the business and residential development one would expect from a County center. Franklin is the picture of a small Southern town complete with a Main Street for shopping and the required town square containing several banks, attorney's offices, the County Court House and the monument topped by a statute of a Confederate soldier gracing the center of the square. Franklin is no longer a forgotten small town dotting the Southern landscape.
Interstate 65 and the development of Cool Springs Galleria, a major shopping center, and the subsequent development of office complexes in the northern half of the City, have made Franklin to location of choice for both home buyers and business leaders. Franklin real estate has also seen a major explosion as subdivisions of all prices have sprung into existance. Franklin real estate is a diverse collection of homes ranging from modest to luxurious, from the mid 100s to the millions. If you can't find the home of your dreams in Franklin, Tennessee you can't find it anywhere. Several years ago, General Motors decided to location their new Saturn auto assembly plant in Northern Maury County just across the Williamson County line. This single event caused the housing and business growth of two communities just south of Franklin. Thompson's Station and Spring Hill have become the new growth areas of Williamson County with subdivision developed by some of the best builders in Middle Tennessee. Spring Hill's growth is attested to by the development of both a Lowes and Home Depot major store and the building of a major shopping center. These business only locate where there is residential population to support them. Spring Hill and Thompson's Station certainly have provided that residential growth to this end of Williamson County. Areas of Williamson County just beginning to awaken are around the small communities of Fairview in the western part of the County and Nolensville in the eastern part of Williamson County. Williamson County is not all small towns with excellent growth. Much of Williamson County is still rural and provides excellent opportunities to buy sizeable parcels of land on which to build your estate. Whether your dream home is a small cottage, a townhouse, condo, luxury home or sizeable estate, you will find it in Williamson County! |
